Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a holistic therapy which treats each person uniquely. It calms the mind, relaxes the body, and promotes an overall sense of wellbeing.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese healing system which is based on the philosophies of Chinese Medicine combined with a modern western understanding of physiology.

It is a non-intrusive body work therapy which uses thumb pressure to work along pathways (meridians) around the whole body to unblock and encourage the free flow of energy (Ki). It may also include gentle stretches and rotations.

For your shiatsu treatment you will be fully clothed and either lying down on a massage table or seated. A treatment may include work on the hands, feet, legs, arms, neck, head, face, back and torso. A discussion between you and your therapist before any treatment begins, will outline any areas of the body which can’t be worked on during the treatment session.

It’s good for mind and for body – restoring energy and balance. It can also relieve muscoskeletal discomfort and support your general wellbeing.
