Enhancing treatment

We improve the impact and experience of treatment for patients and loved ones.

We enhance treatment

The treatment of cancer is tough, but small things can make a big difference.

Everything we fund adds value to NHS provision and prioritises projects which fall under one or more of the following areas:

  • Living well with and beyond cancer; especially reaching communities or demographics facing health inequalities
  • Improving hospital services across the region and the environment at Weston Park Cancer Centre
  • Projects led by or co-produced with people with lived experience of cancer
“Everyone has a story of someone who was treated at Weston Park Hospital. We are very lucky to have it. We need to nurture it to make sure it is there for the local population going forward, giving quality care and contributing to advances in cancer treatments.”
- Sarah Danson, Professor of Medical Oncology

Beyond the treatment

Funded project: Teddy's Radiotherapy Journey

Radiotherapy can be scary and confusing for children; who can at times be overwhelmed by the department, its machines, and the processes of treatment.
