In 2024, a group of 30 runners, known as ‘Team Jane’, raised over £8,000 for Weston Park Cancer Charity by taking on the Sheffield 10k!

Team Jane was formed after Jane, a retired primary school teacher and avid runner, was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023.

Jane admiringly says “If you’re considering taking on an active challenge for Weston Park Cancer Charity, my advice would be: just do it!

It doesn’t matter if you walk or jog. Just getting out there and giving back will make you feel amazing. I can’t explain how much finishing that 10k did for me personally.”
