Prostate cancer support group

It’s vital every single person affected by prostate cancer gets the support they need, where they need it. Support groups can be a fantastic source of information and informal support for men and their families.

We're here for you

Our Prostate Cancer Support Group provides a safe space for people living with or beyond prostate cancer to speak to others in similar situations, ask questions of a healthcare professional, or simply spend time together.

It has huge mental health and wellbeing benefits by giving people a place to share their stories, develop strong friendships and access free, confidential advice when they may need it most.

It was first formed by our Head of Cancer Support Services, Margaret Harrison, back in 2018 and has blossomed since. The Group meets bi-monthly and always welcomes new members.

“It’s now about six years since I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, five years since treatment finished, nearly a year since I was discharged from the hospital back to my GP but it is still Weston Park Cancer Support that I turn to when I want quick, informal advice on any cancer related problem. And, of course, the coffee pot is always on!”
