Staff development grants
We provide grants Staff Development grants for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals staff to attend courses and gain skills which will improve their ability to care for patients affected by cancer.
What are Staff Development Grants?
Staff Development Grants are for any Sheffield Teaching Hospitals staff who work with cancer patients and want to gain additional skills and qualifications4
When can I apply?
Applications are accepted all year round. Applications are reviewed monthly, generally the last week of the month.
Who can apply?
Any STH staff member who works with cancer patients
What happens when I apply?
All staff development applications are reviewed by the Charity’s Small Grants Committee, an internal panel of staff from different departments. The Committee have been delegated authority to make the final decision on grant applications by the Board of Trustees and CEO. Our application process is open and transparent and will be communicated to applicants at all stages.
How long will it take to get a decision?
The committee generally meet monthly, and we aim to have a decision communicated to applicants within 6-8 weeks of receipt of the application. In some instances, this may take longer if further information is required. Please factor this in when applying for upcoming courses.
