Together At Every Step: Weston Park Cancer Charity turns Bramall Lane purple
This Sunday sees Bramall lane turn purple as Sheffield United Football Club goes head-to-head with Chelsea Football Club and Weston Park Cancer Charity celebrates a new fundraising milestone of over £40,000
Sheffield United is set to take on Chelsea FC in an eagerly anticipated football match on Sunday, April 7th, with a 5:30 pm kick-off time at Bramall Lane. However, this match isn't just about the competition on the field; it's also about making a difference off the pitch.
The Together at Every Step partnership aims to unite football fans and communities in the fight against cancer, raising both funds and awareness for Weston Park Cancer Charity's vital work. Since its inception, the partnership has raised over £40,000, enabling Weston Park Cancer Charity to provide support, enable research and enhance treatment to help everyone live with and beyond cancer across the South Yorkshire region.
Volunteers from Weston Park Cancer Charity will be present at the stadium, wielding their collection buckets, as part of the ongoing fundraising efforts for the charity. This initiative is part of a collaborative effort between Weston Park Cancer Charity and several football clubs, including Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, and Barnsley FC.
Sunday will also see Weston Park Cancer Charity's Big Purple Bus at Brammal lane for the first ever time. The Big Purple Bus delivers cancer support services directly to local communities in South Yorkshire. Equipped with healthcare professionals and advisors, the friendly and welcoming team on board is there to help with any questions or concerns fans may have about cancer.

Sunday's match between Sheffield United and Chelsea FC presents another opportunity for football fans to come together for a cause greater than the game itself. By contributing to the bucket collections at Bramall Lane, supporters can play their part in making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
